I personally think that this was cool. He was being so quiet and defensive recently that my "cowboy" jokes were starting to be met with puzzled-awkward-confusion. I'm back baby!

I think it's a publicity stunt. If he had stayed there for a cpl days, actually toured the country and saw how angry the Iraqis are, I would say good for him. But he did none of that, he flew in like a coward, didn't leave the base like a coward, and then left the country like a coward. What a pussy.

All of politics is a publicity stunt ;)

I give GW credit for going. It was a good thing for him to do, and it was also good politics. But that doesn't change the fact that the reason he had to sneak in and out is because of his lack of planning before the war.

Also note that this is a clear indication that they still wish to make Iraq the central issue in the campaign.

Too bad they didn't eat the wrong turkey.
